Welcome to the Orchard!
Orchard Scribe began in 2021 as a collaborative space for a diverse group of Christian writers who were passionate about discipleship. These writers created content for Together in the Orchard, a blog aimed at helping believers establish deep roots and produce lasting fruit.
In 2025, we shifted focus, moving the blog to Substack and dedicating this space to supporting Christian writers. We’re here to partner with you to refine, design, and deliver the message God has given you to share because we believe the work you do is vital to our mission as followers of Christ.

Meet the Owner
Anitra M. Elmore, M.S. Ed.
I’m Anitra Elmore, an author, editor, and founder of Orchard Scribe. I’m a former educator with a diverse professional background that includes content creation, project management, and church communications. Across each role, I’ve nurtured and refined an acute eye for detail—a superpower I’m excited to bring to your next writing project.
I’m the go-to extra pair of eyes for all my friends and family, and after years of editing for free, I made the leap into freelance editing in 2022. In addition to my editing duties here at Orchard Scribe, I’m also a self-published author and Bible teacher. My days are filled with words and God’s Word, and I thoroughly enjoy working on projects that combine the two.
I take Orchard Scribe’s goal of growing writers who grow readers very seriously. You’ll see that in the effort I put into polishing your writing and the resources I offer here to support your work.
