I love that God is into new things–new life, new mercies, new opportunities, and a new blog after about 3 years away from writing. It wasn’t a deliberate break. I started my first blog back in 2008 and never really saw myself giving that up, but fast-forward 11 years and add some serious burnout, and you’ll understand why I needed a break.
I’m grateful for my years running If Mama Ain’t and The MamaZone (both now deleted), but I am excited about what lies ahead. Together in the Orchard will open up new doors for me to share about my life and my love for the Word. It will also allow me to join forces with some amazing writer-friends as we help you, our readers, grow in the Lord.
So, welcome to this new thing the Lord is doing in, with, and through me. It certainly caught me by surprise and, though I didn’t see it coming, I cannot wait to see what becomes of it. I look forward to sharing my heart with you and exploring what it means to establish deep roots (Jeremiah 14:7-8) and produce lasting fruit (John 15:16) as we seek the Lord together.
Look for more posts soon and check out my bio if you’d like to get to know me a bit better. I look forward to helping you develop and maintain a strong foundation in the Lord, strengthen your fellowship with others, build your faith, and walk in the fruit of the Spirit. I’m committed to bringing you words of life to help you “bear much fruit.” Once again, welcome to the orchard, friends. Let’s grow!
“Behold, I am doing a new thing; not it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” –Isaiah 43:19 ESV
